I don't MIND seeing pretty young skinny things wearing nice clothes, but I can never work out whether those same clothes will look any good on un-pretty, un-young skinny ME. Take this dress. I rather like it. But would it look silly on me?

Thou shalt never call yourself "un-pretty"! You're lovely, I mean, come on! I can see you in your photos, and you are chic and pretty. That is a totally cool dress. It's not for me, cuz I don't do above the knee (never have and never will), but I love wearing black with a trim of little bit of white.
Thanks, OWW. I guess I was saying 'un-pretty' because I think of pretty being the province of youth ...
Being somewhat on the short side, I think this dress might reach my knees - tempting! Yes, the white trim is what I like about it too.
