Just had to add a skite (apparently this Australian/Kiwi expression is originally Irish) about Kid 1. He ran the City to Surf on Sunday, one of almost 70,000 people and was 8th in his age group (14km in 58 minutes). He doesn't train. He was three minutes behind his father. We've got money on the result next year ...

Wow! That's impressive. Poor Dad, looking over his shoulder . . . but at least he's proud, poor dad.
Yes, we wonder what he could achieve if he trained ... And Spouse is definitely proud, if a little peeved!
