Saturday Night Fever

Well, there was no cooking last night.

I was originally rather surly about the whole dress up party thing, but I changed my mind once I'd found a good Amy Winehouse wig ... All it took was a denim mini from the local op shop and a fake tattoo to add to the real one; oh, and rather a lot of eye makeup. I'm not sure I looked quite skanky enough.

Spouse is some unnamed rocker from the 80s (vest from the op shop also).

It was fun.

You look great, though altogether too classy. Obviously you don't do "slutty", though I guess a rock chick doesn't always have to be a bit of a scrubber. Bravo to Andrew too! Was the party fun?

Yes, the party was great. That outfit is about as scrubber-ish as I get (the skirt is ridiculously short, but I had to put on the tights for warmth and modesty - AW herself tends to go without!).

With legs as slender and shapely as yours, you oughta flaunt 'em. Nice to see part of the house interior, with the familiar bookshelf! And I'm so glad you had fun at the party.

I'm like you -- I HATE the prospect of having to dress up, the work involved in putting together a costume, the discomfort with the role, etc., but when we do get to a costume party, I end up having fun with it (altho'I'm glad we don't have to have that kind of fun too often)

Looks like you're a good sport! and quite credible as a rock chick, if not especially skanky. . . .

Mater, you've described it perfectly ... right down to the feeling of relief that we don't have to do this too often!

Hi Tiffany,
You make the perfect Amy House Wine (sorry!) Actually maybe a pair of bloodstained ballet pumps would make the outfit super-skanky!
