Election

I have been promising myself a new pair of boots for about five winters now and simply haven't found what I want. Now, of course, I have found two pairs I really (really) want. I can't have both (trip to NYC to pay for ...) and I'm not sure which to get ...

Both Fluevogs.

Oh dear! What a tough choice, since they're so very different. The red pair have been on my wish list for a while. I have the black in their sister, the Giulia, which doesn't lace nor come quite so high; my daughter has these ones, in black, and wears them all the time, with everything! Skirts, jeans, dress up, dress down. I can tell you that the patent lasts fabulously and they do quite well in rain. Couldn't be more comfortable.
But I can also see the appeal of the black boots, very cool, classic with an edge. . . I'd say that whichever pair you buy now, you keep saving toward picking up the second when you can. They'd both be a mainstay of the shoe wardrobe for a few years.
Curious to see which you'll pick!

They're both fabulous! I have a similar pair to the red ones, only in black and they are super comfy.

Which would work better with items already in your wardrobe? Which do you love more?

Yes, definitely one pair first, then the other. I may go for the red ones first, as I do have a pair of black knee-highs (they have a heel and are a little the worse for wear, but still ok). Thanks for the advice!
